15 Minutes a Day Gets You Ready For Christmas!

By | 11/26/2012

I aspire to be one of those organized people that spends just a few minutes a day working toward a goal.  As kids in school, whenever a project or paper was assigned to us, we were taught to break it down into small chunks and do a little each day.  In theory, if I just make a couple cards, tags or bags a day for the next couple of weeks I will be ready for Christmas!  Some years it seems it just happens so naturally, but how many times has the season been rushed and you’re cramming all the preparations into the last minute?  Too many, if you’re anything like me.

Today I made 2 tags.  Just two tags, but two tags I’m going to need in a month!  Two less tags I will need to make in the middle of wrapping my gifts.

Two Tags Die Cut

The Two Tags Bigz Die (#115954) really makes this an easy job, as do my punches.  Here are the materials I used to create the tags in just a few short minutes:

Tags materials

For the scalloped edge tag, I used the 1-3/4″ scallop circle punch(119854), the small scallop punch from the holiday mini, the 1″ circle punch(119868), the Merry Christmas Stamp from the Delightful Decorations stamp set(127787) and a To/From stamp.  The No Peeking stamp set has one, but I found one in my stash of stamps from Christmas Past!  I bet you have one too!  I used Garden Green, Riding Hood Red and Very Vanilla card stock along with Riding Hood Red Ink.  I finished both tags off with some Real Red Stitched Ribbon.

For the second tag, I used the Joy stamped ornament from the Delightful Decorations stamp set, the Ornament Punch (119847), a piece of ribbon and a piece of Garden Green card stock cut at 1 x 2 3/4″.

I also stamped with the Merry Christmas and the To/From stamp on the inside of the second tag.  I love the second tag because it folds and it latches with a slit cut by the Bigz Die.  What a great feature.  It is practically a complete tag without decorating at all!

Inside Tag

A few days ago I made a bunch of tags and decorated them with scraps.  These are fun to make because they are quick and you know you will be using them!

Tags just waiting for ribbons!

Enjoy making your holiday tags!  You could make a set and box them up to give a friend as a quick gift.  Everyone needs tags this time of year!

Remember that anyone who places an order of $50 in product or more in my online store between now and November 30, 2012 will receive free shipping.  The online extravaganza sale ends on November 28th!  Don’t miss that 50% off MDS deal.  I’m loving the digital software to create projects and to add touches to my cards and scrapbooks for items that I don’t have in my stash.  It’s a great little tool to play with.

Thank you so much for visiting!

Happy crafting!
