Today I have 8 quick card ideas with one small stamp set. I recently purchased the Altenew Lavender Bud stamp and die set. It is 3 stamps in total and one die. The set was less that ten bucks. I made 8 quick cards in less than 45 minutes to refresh my thank you card stash using Altenew’s Lavender Bud stamp and die set.
I wanted to show you that you don’t need a huge number of stamps to create a variety of cards. I also wanted to show you that you can use a bunch of different techniques or tools to get different looks with the same stamp set.
I also hope that beginning stampers see that it doesn’t take a lot of expensive stuff to create a variety of pretty little cards!
I think this is my favorite, so I’m sharing it first. I made this using Distress Crayons. I just love playing with different mediums and this is one of the most fun!
A quick and simple card that took just a couple of minutes.
This was probably the most “complicated” card since I used my Picket Fence Change Your Life Blender Brush and my Mini Blossom Die Cutter. I could have created this card without the expensive tools, but they make it so much easier. This allows me to add some dimension to my card along with a pretty background.
This card just uses the stamped image multiple times and also using the stamping off second generation technique to stretch my ink pads and make it look like I’m using 4 colors instead of 2.
This card has some sparkle from my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen. Not an expensive tool, but it adds a special detail.
Who doesn’t love a little sparkle?
This one just uses some clear embossing powder over the top of the images to make them brighter and shinier!
Here I was playing around with a little masking, some alcohol markers, and Nuvo drops. Just for fun! Adding details and playing with toys!
This one adds some distress techniques along with the drops and splatter. I love the little touches on this card. I thought I did a little over-kill on the card above this one!
So you see…you can make a lot of cards with one fabulous image and one sentiment. I have a whole bunch of other techniques I could have used to create cards. I was just having fun with these!
I have a video that I will share tomorrow along with links to the products.
I’m off to spend some quality time with my husband who was at a fishing show all day today…this giving me time to myself to play in my craft room.
Although, I did get a lot of house cleaning and laundry done today as well!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I really appreciate that you took time to visit!
