A Clean And Simple Sympathy Card

By | 05/01/2019

I had two cards to make tonight and they both needed to be quick and easy or they weren’t getting done.

This card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge.

Clean and Simple Simon Says Card Kit

Once again, I watercolored one of the butterflies from this month’s Simon Says Stamp Card Kit using Altenew Watercolor Brushes and Canson XL watercolor paper.  I did fussy cut it and add it to a rectangle and a circle die cut of velum.  I added some black thread to keep with the sketch and to add some texture.  I used some clear sequins and the word die from Simon Says.  I love this set of dies with the script writing.

I’m going to be honest though…I was just too tired to get it on there straight.  It’s going to be just good enough for today!

Here is the sketch that I started with:

I stayed close to the sketch this week, but kept it very clean and simple by using the velum and the thread instead of patterned paper.

I also tipped it 90 degrees!

Another short and quick blog post, but again I’m working on a deadline and no free time!  This working full time gig is exhausting!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a fantastic day!
