A Masculine Birthday Card With Copper Touches!

By | 07/27/2016

My son’s birthday is coming up and I wanted to get a card out to him.  This is the first time that I won’t get to spend the day with him for his birthday.

I wanted to make a special card with some interesting touches.

Stamping Imperfection Masculine Card with copper

I used the new Copper embossing powder in three places on the card.  You can see that I’ve used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to give it a little background with the embossed splatter.  I’ve also embossed the scalloped oval mat around my stamped image and I’ve embossed the soda pop top from a can to use it as a buckle.

The designer paper that I’ve used is from the Moroccan Designer Series Paper set.  It’s the most masculine feeling designer paper I could find and I love the Dapper Denim color with the copper.

I’ve also used the new The Wilderness Awaits stamp set.  The fox is fabulous.  I’ve colored it in with the Aqua Painter and some markers.  The sentiment comes from the Birthday Banners set.  I really love the script font.

My card layout comes from this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch:

I tipped it on it’s side and included my sentiment in the oval itself. I really like making a card sketch  my own by changing one or two things about it.

Enjoy your day!!  Thank you for visiting!
