I played along with a new sketch challenge this week. I was almost too excited about all of the new things going on at Stampin’ Up! to actually stamp today! Hasn’t it seemed like one great sale after another since the beginning of the year?!

Somehow, I did manage to find time (and the attention span) to actually create my card for the Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge this week. I really love being on the Design Team for the PCCC. What a fun and unexpected benefit of becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator that has been.

This is not the card I sat down to make. I wanted to make a card with a Christmas tree and this designer paper. I don’t know how this happened, but isn’t it pretty? I love this color combination. That Cherry Cobbler looks fantastic with Crumb Cake and almost any green!

Here is the starting sketch…you can see that I minimized some of the details by using rhinestones to embellish. I really wanted my stamped image to be the focal point and star of this card.
