An Interrupted Crafting Evening

By | 10/04/2018

You know how it is…you have a plan to get a certain amount accomplished and then the phone rings and it is a phone call you not only must take, but that you want to take. It lasts longer than you expect and time slips away and you don’t get your crafty business done for the day.

At least I got my project started!

I was playing with my Ranger Distress markers and trying out a new technique for using them to watercolor images.Stamping Imperfection Distress Markers

Well…that watermark came out a lot bigger than I expected!  Phew!  I don’t have time to fix it, so it is what it is for today.

The stamped image comes from Altenew and is called Forever and Always.  I want to enter a card challenge and it is all about shiny so I heat embossed the image on to watercolor paper and then started adding color along the embossed edges directly to the paper with my markers.  I then blended the ink out to give lighter color petals and leaves along the main parts.

Another relaxing technique.  I’m loving all things watercoloring.

This is a quick job, but I’m pretty happy with the technique using these markers.  Altenew just releases watercolor brushes (link below!) today and I can’t wait to get those in the mail!  I ordered them as soon as I got home from work.

Thank you for stopping by!  I have my affiliate links for the supplies that I used here:
