Autumn Inspired Seasonally Scattered Emboss Resist Sponging Technique

Autumn inspired seasonally scattered stamp set using the emboss resist sponging technique!

Stamping Imperfection Seasonally Scattered Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge

This week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge inspired me to use one of the fabulous (and giant!) seasonal images from the Seasonally Scattered stamp set!

For this card, I heat embossed the image with the new Crushed Curry Embossing Powder and then sponged on Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry.  The embossed image resists the sponged on colors leaving this fabulous pop of color for the image and a great colorful background.

I used a Crushed Curry base (5-1/2 x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″), the next layer is Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper cut at 4 x 5-1/4″.  The image and sponging are done on Whisper White with a Mossy Meadow mat cut 1/4″ larger all around.

I added the new Autumn Wood Essentials, Linen Thread, Neutrals Candy Dots and Early Espresso seam binding to embellish the card.

Here is the original Paper Craft Crew sketch that I worked from:

Your card really puts me in the fall mood with it’s earthy and rich tones.  I like the emboss resist technique and it works perfect with this stamp.  TFS.
