Basket Full Of Bounty

Every now and then it’s nice to sit down and do a little water coloring.  It’s so relaxing just to color things in.  No wonder adult coloring books have become such a big hit these days.

My favorite stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog was the Basket of Wishes stamp set.  I couldn’t resist using it for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge #214.

For this card I’ve used water color paper and an aqua pen to add the color and allow for shading the images.  I did a wash for the background using Crushed Curry and used a slice of the Paisley and Posies designer paper that hasn’t left my table since I opened the package!!  The card base and the mat behind the image are early espresso.

I’ve used the circles framelits along with the banners framelits for the die cut shapes for the image and the sentiment.  My embellishments are limited to garden green baker’s twine from the holiday catalog and the new metallic enamel dots that look like gold water drops!

The card was created from this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch:

Of course I loved this clean and simple sketch and created a second card using the new Totally Trees stamp set for my image, the Basket of Wishes for the sentiment and the Ghoulish Grunge background stamp set for the bricks.  Aren’t those bricks fabulous?  I’ve stamped them in Cajun Craze and I’ve used many of the same elements and colors for this card that I used in my first card.
