Bohemian Chic!

Creating a simple card from a card sketch using the new Bohemian product suite from Stampin’ Up!

This is an especially colorful line of products that includes designer paper, washi tape, a stamp set and an embossing folder that all coordinate.

The papers are bold patterns in strong colors.  These are colors that I probably never would have put together until seeing this paper!  Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon and Very Vanilla…strong colors.

A lot of times, paper crafters avoid using the strong bold patterns that you often find in designer paper stacks.  I love using them as the focal point of my card and as my color inspiration for my projects.

When I use the bold papers, I select a neutral color from the paper and one of the bold colors to use for my card stock mat and ink selection.

I’ve included a lot of elements in my card because I was working from a sketch.  You can see that I actually left out some sketch details!

I love the new dotted lace trim in the Delightful Dijon.  The yellow is the color used in the smallest amount in the paper,  It serves as a great accent color for embellishments, like the lace I’ve used for my knot.

I also used a giant sentiment as my focal point.  The Another Thank You stamp set has a fantastic variety of thank you sentiments for your cards.

Check out the video tutorial for all of the measurements for this card!  This video was really long, so I edited it down…it’s a bit choppy, but you will get the idea!

Happy stamping!

LOVE the white color contrast! Whole different look than what I have been doing/seeing with this collection. Thanks for sharing.
