CASEing A Technique: Reverse Masking With A Spritz

By | 05/12/2016

I watched a Stampin’ Up! video a while ago that reminded me of a similar technique that I did in a video about 3 years ago…reverse masking with a spritzer technique.  I had done a video using reverse masking and sponging.  I just had to CASE (copy and share everything) the technique and give it my own little twist!

I used the Endless Thanks and the One Big Meaning stamp sets along with the Bold Butterfly framelit.  My color scheme is pear pizzazz and night of navy, of course.  I fear you’ll see a lot of this since I’ve fallen in love with this combo for the spring.

My card is a bit crooked and there is a smudge of ink below the sentiment, but I didn’t have time to create another one and better imperfect than not done. I just assumed you could learn from my mistakes!

This is a great one layer card.  So simple.  You don’t need a die cutting machine to do this, you can use your favorite giant punch and do the same thing.

If you are new to stamping, put this technique on your list of things to try.  If you love it, then you can put a Big Shot and framelits on your wish list!

Check out the video tutorial:

Give this one a try and it may take a little practice.  I’ve done it many times before and you can see that mine didn’t come out perfect the first time!
