Classic Christmas Color Card

By | 12/05/2018

I ran out of day before I ran out of things to do today!  My card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew ended up being a little rushed, but I got a chance to use a couple of stamp sets that I recently purchased.

I decided to go with the classic Christmas colors and I used Catherine Pooler’s Rockin’ Red and Spruce inks.  The stamp sets are from Concord & 9th for the stripes.  This is the Happy Plaid stamp set.  The star is from Altenew’s Festive Silhouettes.

The stripes come in one single stamp and there are 3 other stripe stamps in this C9 set that would make some fantastic plaids.  I didn’t choose to make a plaid because I am using the card sketch for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge.

The star with the sentiment is topped with clear embossing powder to make it shine.  I’ve added the Altenew Gold Glitter Washi tape, Red Foil card stock from Kat Scrappiness and the Classic Christmas Sequin mix from Neat & Tangled.  The splatters are just the red and green ink spritzed with water and sprinkled on with a round brush.

Here is the sketch that I started with:

I wasn’t in the mood for patterned paper so I decided to go with the stripes and add a star and some sparkle.  It is a quick and easy card with a quick and easy sketch.

Please stop by the Paper Craft Crew and check out this week’s challenge.  We would love to have you play along!

Thank you for stopping by!
