Color Challenge

I saw a color challenge that I couldn’t resist this week at Inspire. Create. Challenge.

You can check out the challenge here: Inspire.Create.Challenge #022 | Colour Challenge

I’ve been playing with watercoloring, pencil coloring and alcohol marker coloring for what seems like forever.  I decided to take a break and make a nice quick card with my MISTI and some Altenew goodies.

Here is what I came up with:

Stamping Imperfection Inspire Create Challenge 22

This was a color challenge this week and I always find those challenges to be the most challenging of all.  It is often hard to limit myself to just the colors that someone else picks out.Stamping Imperfection Inspire Create Challenge 22

For my card, I used Altenew inks in Sweet Leaf, Hunter Green and Pink Pearl.  I added some details with a coordinating marker to give the floral image more dimension than it had as just a stamped image.  I also added some clear Wink of Stella and Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins for some sparkle.

I used Altenew’s Wish Big stamp and the Sunlit Flowers stamp set to complete the card.

I LOVE this sentiment.  One fabulous stamp that gives your sentiment a lot of impact.  It’s like wearing that one statement necklace with a really plain top and jacket.  It’s the WOW in your ensemble.  That’s how I feel about this sentiment!

I don’t know if you can tell, but I practiced my drop shadow technique on the flowers to give them that dimension, along with a little shading with the marker.  I think the flower pops a lot more than it did before I added that detail.

Thank you for stopping by!  Keeping it clean and simple today with one layer!  Less supplies to clean up afterwards…a huge plus!
