Finding Inspiration With Quick Cards Magazine!

By | 12/13/2013

Finding inspiration from Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine sparked my creativity for today’s card and video tutorials!  I discovered this magazine on my last visit to my mother’s house.  You can be certain that the two of us visit craft stores, quilt shops, antique stores and the diner whenever I spend a few days with Mom.  (Shopping and a home cooked meal we don’t actually have to cook…that’s our thing!)

When I received the December issue of Quick Cards Made Easy a few days ago, I found about a dozen cards that I wanted to immediately sit down and make!  Here is just one of those cards!

I would classify this as an advanced card, only because of all of the layers and details.  It takes a lot of tools to make this card!

My creativity was most definitely sparked and fostered by my mother!  Mom’s major area of crafting expertise is quilting.  I have quilts, placemats, table runners and wall hangings all over my house.  I love them.  We actually fight over the flannel quilts…and I’m pretty sure that my son snuck one off to his college apartment this year!

One way that you can share your love of crafting with the kids in your life is to give a gift subscription to My Paper Pumpkin monthly craft kits!!!  These kits are perfect for beginner crafters or crafters who don’t have a lot of space to store a bunch of craft supplies.  It’s a perfect gift for a college student who enjoys spending time relaxing and being creative.  It also then gives them handmade cards they can send you on Mother’s Day, your birthday…you name it!

The kits contain everything you need to create the projects for the month, except adhesive and paper snips.  (These items would make excellent stocking stuffers!)
