Paper Craft Crew Christmas Cod

By | 10/26/2016

You are cordially invited to play along with the Paper Craft Crew for this week’s sketch challenge!

I love this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch.  Pam Staples really did a great job!  I love the sketches that she makes each week to challenge us with!

Pam is the Team Coordinator over at the Paper Craft Crew and there are 16 Design Team Members who make cards to inspire you!  I’ve been a design team member since 2013 and I have enjoyed every minute of it!

Her is my card for this week’s challenge:
Stamping Imperfection Christmas Cod

When you compare my card to the sketch, you will see that I really stuck to the sketch this week.  I think this would be another card that would be easy to mass produce, although I would use Emerald Envy ink for the Grunge splatter and not the embossing glitter.  It’s too hard to tell when that is dry as you heat it to use it on 50 cards!

Here is the sketch:

Isn’t it great?  Lots of elements, yet clean and simple at the same time.

I used my new favorite color scheme from yesterday:

The stamp set I used for this was Fa-la-la-la Friends and of course, the Gorgeous Grunge. (How does anyone stamp without that set?!)

I also used my Layering Circles Framelits dies.  I thought that they were outrageously pricey when I added them to my shopping cart online, but I use them all the time.  I love how the scallops layer and just peek out around the edge of the stamped layer.  It’s just right!

I also made a video of this card…which I am sending to my brother-in-law for Christmas.  It’s just so corny that I can’t resist.  Maybe I will make one for each of my kids too.  They will get a kick out it!
