I’m sharing a quick and easy birthday card. I’m working on creating all the birthday cards that I’m going to need for 2019 and getting my stash done early!
I might have gone a little overboard with the sequins!
But, hey… it’s a birthday card and they should sparkle!
This was for a sketch challenge over on The Stamp Nation and it is for the Birthday Bash Birthday Card Stash Challenge, so I am using Catherine Pooler stamps, inks, papers, and sequins for this card.
The patterned paper is from CP’s Cake and Confetti paper stack. Her patterned papers are nice heavy weight card stock. Aren’t the colors fabulous?
The papers coordinate with the Birthday Icons stamp and die set and the Milestone Birthday stamp and dies. I’ve used the Birthday Icons here for the cake and the sentiment comes from the Milestone Birthday sentiments set. The sequins are from the Inspiration Point mix.
This was a quick and easy card to make and it went together fast. I love the sketch layout for the card. I consider this to be a classic card layout that works well with for so many stamps and sentiments. It creates a nice way to highlight the sentiment and you can use some of your patterned paper scraps or do a fun background technique as your focal point and leave the little cake off the card.
I think this is a perfect card for a spring birthday!
