Resisting Stampin’ Up!s Specialty Paper!

By | 01/27/2013

This is my second installment using the sponging resist technique using Stampin’ Up!s Natural Specialty Paper (#126917).  What a fun technique!  Look at how different this paper looks with the Tangerine Tango sponged on.  Yesterday, I used the very same paper with Real Red and you get a completely different look!  Check it out here!

spongeresistorangeYou can really see the glossy texture of the pattern in this card.  It starts out a natural color and you can leave it that way, or sponge on various colors for very different looks.  Make sure you are on my mailing list.  I will be providing the instructions on how to do this technique in my subscribers newsletter this weekend!

Today’s card uses the Tangerine Tango ink, ribbon and papers!  The ribbon is of course from the Sale-A-Bration brochure as is the Pretty Petite Stamp Set (129642) and the Petite Curly Label Punch(#129405) that I used to punch them out.  I used my Curly Label Punch (#119851) to punch scraps of very vanilla, tangerine tango and Brights DSP.  I cut those in half and tucked them under the Natural Cotton Ribbon (#127844) from the Spring Mini Catalog.  The giant silver Basics Designer Button (#129325) is also in the Spring Mini.

I love adding buttons, ribbons and brads to my projects.  This one has some rhinestones added as well.
