The most challenging part of scrapbooking for me is finding creative ways to make journaling boxes.  I used to purchase pre-made journaling boxes and papers, but now I’m trying to use only Stampin’ Up! products and they carry a limited number of  products specifically for scrapbooking.  I’m learning to be much more creative.  I plan to challenge myself each week to come up with a new creative idea to add a journaling space to my scrapbook pages!

small scallop envelope dieThis is the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die (#113462 RETIRING) and its fabulous!  Bigz dies and framelits are tools that make creating your scrapbook pages quicker and easier.  I’ve stamped the En Francais (#109521) stamp in Riding Hood Red ink on Riding Hood Red card stock (RETIRING).   I’ve tucked one of the tags from the Two Tags Bigz Die (#115954 RETIRING) inside.  I will use this to journal on and it tucks nicely in the envelope.   I’ve decorated that with the Printed Petals (#120444 RETIRING) stamped in Regal Rose (RETIRING) and punched with the 1-3/8″ scallop circle punch (#119860).  I layered the A Round Array (#129090 SNEAK PEEK from the new catalog) punched in the 7/8″ scallop circle punch.

My final pages have every journaling box or tag that I made.  I would ordinarily not put this much on one page, but I wanted you to see the possibilities with these retiring products.  They are great for use with scrapbooks, let alone the uses they have during holidays!!!

scrapbook9I love the tone-on-tone stamping of the En Francais stamped on the envelope and tag.  It’s such a subtle touch.  I will slip a cropped picture in the top tag under the slit of the tag.

scrapbook10I’ve used the Two Tags Die here as well, along with the Petite Pockets Bigz XL Die (#113462 RETIRING).  I used one of my favorite sentiments from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set (#121970 RETIRING).  I’ve got the details for the tags on my video for today.  The video will be posted later in the day!  It will be my 100th video on Youtube and I reached over 1000 Youtube subscribers today!  Woohoo!  Thank you for your support and encouragement!
