Sending Condolences With Pretty Cards!

I never quite know what to say to friends and colleagues that lose a loved one.  While I may not have the right words, I do know that a pretty handmade card works for any occasion.  I do want the people I care about to know that I’m thinking of them and nothing says that better than a card you make just for them.

Sending Condolences with a pretty card from Stamping Imperfection

The Stippled Blossom stamp set is one of my truly favorite stamp sets.  It has a certain elegance that really makes it wonderful for so many occasions.

This is a two-step stamp set.  Each image is created with two stamps.  For this set, you stamp the bottom solid image in a lighter color and the top outline image in a darker color.

I love the dimension that you get from a two-step stamp set.

You can also see that I added Washi Tape along the edges below my stamped mat for a trendy touch.  I love how this simple and inexpensive touch makes the entire card pop.

The stamped mat is cut 1/2″ narrower than the card base to allow the Washi Tape to show along the edges.  The card base is cut at 4-1/4 x 11″ , scored and folded at 5-1/2″.  The mat is cut at 3-3/4 x 5-1/2″.
