Sending Sunshine With A Distress Crayon Technique

By | 01/16/2019

Are we getting the next storm or aren’t we?  That’s the big question around my little town.

Whatever happens, I know that I am in need of some sunshine!

When there isn’t any outside, you have to create your own!

I added sparkle and lots of bright color!

The sun is colored with Copic Markers and it comes from Sunny Studio Stamps Sunny Sentiments as do the sentiments.  The word die is a Sunny Studio die that I got for free during a promotion before the holidays.  I love it!

I’ve done a distress crayon technique here.  I colored some texture paste with distress crayons and used the Sunrise Rays stencil from MFT Stamps to add the paste on.  Then I let it dry.  It only needed an overnight, but I got busy and distracted.  Needless to say, this has been waiting for me to make a card out of it for a couple of weeks.

I’ve added some Sunny Studio 6×6″ patterned paper on to a white card base and some of Altenew’s new enamel dots.  To top it off I used a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer clear sparkle pen to add lots of sparkle.  The texture paste has a nice glossy shine as well.
