Stampin’ Up! Two Minute Technique: Bright Embossing!

By | 03/13/2013

Try a new technique to create a Wow! card!  Stampin’ Up! has some amazing embossing powders in fabulous colors.  When you emboss them on black card stock you get an amazing pop of color!  The Secret Garden Stamp Set and Framelit Bundle make creating this card very quick and easy!

bright_embossI used basic black card stock and embossed my Secret Garden flowers using Versa Mark ink, Pool Party embossing powder, Melon Mambo embossing powder and my heat gun.  After embossing the flowers, I cut them out using the matching Secret Garden framelit set and my Big Shot.  I stamped the Perfectly Penned sentiment directly on the card and embossed it in Pool Party. I finished the card off with Pool Party ribbon…that’s the ribbon I got free from the Sale-A-Bration sale, and I added rhinestones!

I love how colorful the card is even though it has a black card base!!!  I can picture any number of floral stamp sets and how about those great sentiments from the Feel Goods stamp set?  They would look amazing with this technique.  Give it a try and see what you come up with!

I created a video to show you how I did the basic technique!

You still have 2 days to join the Perfectly Simple Virtual Club this month and get your order placed by March 15th to receive the free video classes!  I’m really excited about the projects for the month.  I have a new technique to share for a great card idea, a 3D project to help you organize your stamping supplies and a really fun scrapbooking project!!!
