The Joy of Crafting During the Holidays!

By | 11/29/2017

I can’t deny that when I sit down to craft and create I feel a tremendous stress relief.  It has been over a year since I have had a craft space that allows me the time and space to be creative and away from the hustle and bustle of my day.  Over the last two weeks I finally took the time to focus on my craft space.  Yippee!

Today I created a card using the Watercolor Christmas stamp set and the felt embellishments in the Holiday Catalog.

The theme for this week’s SUO Challenges #188 is Celebrating Winter Holidays so I’m participating in that challenge.

Stamping Imperfection Watercolor Christmas

Can you tell that I’m in the mood for creating clean and simple cards for the holidays?

I love the size of this sentiment and it perfectly expresses how I feel about celebrating the entire holiday season in the little fixer upper that we moved into at the beginning of this year.

I’ve finally gotten to the fixing up and unpacking of my craft space part of the move and it is heavenly to have a space to escape to that is all mine, surrounded by all of my goodies!

The sentiment of today’s card is stamped in Real Red and then again in Versa Mark.  I used clear embossing powder to really make the color pop off the card.

I love the little quilted felt embellishments.  It adds a nice little touch and my crafty mother and my crafty aunts will enjoy that element on the cards that I’m making for them this year.  The thin red ribbon creates a nice border at the bottom of the card and gives that red a bit more pop.
