Use Patterned Paper For A Quick Card Background

By | 09/03/2019

I can’t believe that it is September.  I had such big plans to craft, blog and make videos more often over the summer.  A couple of big home improvement projects really ate up the summer.  Alas, they were worth the time I spent doing them and they are almost done.

I will definitely share pictures of those projects when we have a chance to put the finishing touches on them!

Also…tomorrow is my last first day of school!  The countdown to retirement has begun.  I love the beginning of the school year and I’m delighted that I get to do it this one last time.  I’m looking forward to meeting my new students and showing them the joy of learning science.

I made a quick card again today.  This time I kept it simple by using a fabulous piece of patterned paper for my background.  I also used a piece of ribbon, which I haven’t done in ages.  All that ribbon has been sitting neglected on my shelf.

This paper came in the September Simon Says Stamp card kit.  I loved how it had that pink grunge look in the background.  It just gave a hint of color which I added to with a variety of pink sequins just for fun.

The layout uses this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge along with a sentiment from Altenew’s Wavy Roses stamp set.

Maybe that will go on the next card I make!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Sorry for such a short post, but I’ve got 2 lessons to finish and my Google Classrooms to set up!

Have a wonderful day!
