Using A Digital Image To Create Thanksgiving Home Décor

By | 10/22/2020

The digital image that I played with this week for the Scrapping 4 Fun Challenge is a really fun image!  I had so many ideas for how I might use this as a Thanksgiving decoration that I actually printed it in several sizes.scrappychallenge178

I finally decided on the one I would share when I was looking through my garage sale frame cabinet and I found this great little copper plate that is meant to be mounted on a wall.

Tell me this image created by our challenge sponsor, Oddball Art by Lizzy Love, is not just the cutest Thanksgiving image you’ve seen!!

I thought about making a small version of this and attaching it to toothpicks to insert into appetizers or in small mums using a wood skewer.  I also thought it would be super cute on table place cards.  Then I found this little copper plate and realized it would be adorable on the plate stand!  You can see that I added a bit of jute cord and frayed the edges.

I love this Oddball Art!! It was fun to color with my Copics and it was fun to use it in an unconventional way.

One of the reasons that I’m loving doing the Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges is because it is an anything goes challenge.  I am really enjoying challenging myself to create something other than cards.

Making holiday décor and decorations is my jam!  I love making decorations that I can use to make my house more festive for holidays throughout the entire year. I haven’t been decorating as much these last 4 or 5 years since the kids are grown and out on their own and I miss it.  The first time my daughter came home for Thanksgiving and I didn’t have the porch and house decorated for fall, she was upset!  I didn’t realize how much my family enjoyed seeing the house decorations change throughout the year!

I love the thought bubble and the sentiments on the sign and in the thought bubble!!  This quirky art makes my heart happy!
