What Does The New Holiday Catalog Have To Do With The Big Shot?

What does the new Holiday Catalog have to do with the Big Shot?  Oh Boy!  I can’t wait to share this with you!

I watched Stampin’ Up!’s annual Convention opening ceremonies live online on Thursday and they unveiled the new Holiday Catalog and the products in it for demonstrators.

There is so much to look forward to!  I am never going to get through my wish list from the new annual catalog, let alone start thinking about fall and winter holidays!

Stampin' Imperfection Stampin' UP! Holiday Catalog

This is all that I’m allowed to show you for now.  This is the cover of the Holiday Catalog which you will be able to order from on August 28.

I also want you to see this because I’ve ordered a copy for everyone who has ordered from me this year directly from Stampin’ Up!  You should get one of these in the mail sometime during July as soon as Stampin’ Up! starts mailing them out.

You will start getting a lot of catalogs in the mail soon, so keep this in mind so you don’t accidentally file it with the other catalogs.  This one is full of ideas and projects.  It’s not just a catalog!

Doesn’t this evoke happy thoughts about wrapping gifts and getting together to craft with friends!

I hope it does, because it is full of products and ideas to do just that!  I can’t decide what I’m most excited about!

But wait…what does this have to do with the Big Shot?

Stamping Imperfection Stampin' Up! Big Shot

As it turns out, Stampin’ Up! packed this catalog so full of new Big Shot tools (embossing folders, framelits and dies) that they decided it would be a good idea to have a BIG SHOT SALE in AUGUST so that you can get that Big Shot that you’ve always wanted before these new goodies come out!

Here is my shopping advice:  (How to get the most for your money…from a tightwad!)

A Big Shot (which comes with the multipurpose platform and a set of cutting plates) is $99.95.  You get one of the stamp sets and framelit bundles for free and 15% off the others.  If you order another bundle and the magnetic platform (or just order some of the other bundles) at the same time  and your order is $150 or more, you will get Hostess Rewards and that starts at $25 of free products!!!  (That would be in addition to the free bundle offer with the Big Shot sale!)

It’s fun to get a Big Shot, but you want to get some of the tools you need to play with it.  Make sure you maximize what your getting and take advantage of those Hostess Rewards.  This is one of those times when spending a little more actually gets you a lot more! (Or putting what would have been 2 separate orders together and making 1 larger order.)  A free bundle (stamp set with coordinating framelits) and $25 in product of your choice is a great deal.  Plus if the extra stuff you purchased is on sale at 15% off, that’s even better!

For me, it’s about shopping smarter.  Plus, I know that I’m going to get a lot of gifts, cards, gift wrapping and holiday decorating use from my Big Shot.  I know that I’ll use what I’m purchasing immediately!

Here is the Hostess Rewards Chart  (Substitute your product order total before tax and shipping and”your party sales”.)

stamping imperfection hostess chart(I’ll be honest…I got my Big Shot at 50% off after joining Stampin’ Up!  You can see from the chart how much I spent to do that!  I can honestly say that for me, it was worth it.  I use that Big Shot almost every single day!  50% items are full priced items, not sale priced items.)

Thank you for visiting!  I wanted to give you a heads up on the Big Shot sale that is coming along.  I know that I am a saver and I will save my hard earned cash until a good sale comes along for the item on my wish list.  I waited a long time to get the Big Shot!

I also wanted to share my tips about shopping  and taking advantage of the Hostess Rewards that are available to you every time you order from Stampin’ Up!  I tend to place a few larger orders rather than a bunch of smaller ones.  I’ve gotten a lot of free stuff that I would not have gotten at all if I had not shopped with Hostess Rewards and Bundles in mind.

You also save on shipping this way too.  The shipping charge is 10% of your product total with a minimum shipping charge of $6.95.  This means that you pay shipping of $6.95 on all orders of $69.95 or less.  (Anything over this, you pay 10%.  On a $70 order, that would be $7 shipping plus your tax.)   I try never to place an order less than $65.  I know…I’m cheap!  I will wait for something I want or need (okay…mostly want!) until my list is at least to the $65 mark!  I can pay that same shipping charge twice on two smaller orders, or pay it just once on one larger order.

So now you know  my shopping strategies and you know what the Big Shot has to do with the Holiday Catalog!
