This month’s Challenge YOUrself Scrapbook Challenge has a them of FRIENDSHIP!
I chose to make a friendship layout with a photo of me and my husband. Part of the challenge means that I have to be in the photo and I have several fun photos of the two of us doing fun things!
I used the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper called Painted Illusions. This was the February Product of the Month and it only cost me $5 with a $75 Stampin’ Up! order.
I created a background on white card stock using a watercolor wash technique and then I did some splatter and added some little stencil shapes for fun.
The paper is super colorful and fun, so I thought the background needed some pizzazz.
Some of my ephemera pieces are from the Mix and Match Ephemera packs that Stampin’ Up! sells. I added some stamping and journaling to the ephemera tags and created some circles with punches and stamps to fill it all out.
I’m loving all the scrapbooking stamp sets that Stampin’ Up! comes out with every few months. They are doing a great job coming up with Title stamps and stamps that work well for journaling or phrases you might use on your scrapbook layouts.
