Scrapping 4 Fun Anything Goes: Angels, Fairies, Snowflakes or Stars

Today marks the start of a new Scrapping 4 Fun Challenge.  You know that I love these because they are anything goes.  I don’t have to just make a card and I find it a fun challenge to see what I can create with the digi that I’m given that isn’t a card!

We usually have several digital images to choose from and I got a cute angel with a beautiful sentiment.  I wasn’t sure quite what I wanted to do with it, so I decide to create something that I can use as a Christmas gift.  I created a pretty journal out of a composition notebook and some patterned paper and ribbon from my stash.  Even the notebook was from my stash!!

I kept this fairly simple.  I added patterned paper to the front and back covers inside and outside.  I created a pocket on each inside cover and added two tags in one of the pockets.

You can see that I added some twine with a charm to the binding and I added a couple of eyelets and ribbon so it can be tied closed.

This digi came in black and white or pre-colored.  I chose to use the black and white image and color this in myself.   I thought it was adorable.

I love digital stamps.  You can do so many things with them.  You know I love that I don’t have to find storage space for them and I love that I can resize them and remove or add other images to them.  I found it extra wonderful to be able to have all these items in my stash and I was able to create a gift to have on hand to give away.

This is a quick and easy project!  I just measured my cover and cut the pieces to fit.  I rounded the outside corners and attached the paper with double sided tape.  I layered my digi on to a piece of navy cardstock and attached it with the same tape to the front of the journal.  I did the same with the inside, adding a couple of pockets because they are always useful.
