I’ve had the Poppy Parade stamp sitting on my shelf for a while now, just waiting for the perfect sketch to use it with. This is a very large stamp that works as a background stamp or a focal point. I love the outline look of the flowers. It’s a perfect stamped image to watercolor as well. These flower images shaded with a blender pen or aqua painter are actually beautiful.
Today, I just wanted to give a hint of the image on my background.

I love the layered buttons on top of the bow! The ribbon and bow are quite wide and I wanted to just add a little more interest and get that circular element from the sketch in.
You can see that I really followed the sketch fairly closely. I attached the ribbon all the way across the card front and I layered buttons on top of the bow instead of tucking it under the label framelit.

Imagine what you have in your stamping supply stash that you could use with this sketch. Maybe you don’t have the labels framelits, maybe you can just cut a rectangular shape or use a circle instead. If you don’t have any coordinating ribbon, perhaps you can use baker’s twine or a strip of paper decorated with a border punch. The possibilities are endless!
