I had a really enjoyable weekend crafting with the Stampin’ Up! Yuletide Village stamp set.
I LOVE making scene cards. I also LOVE coloring with the Stampin’ Blends. I’ve been practicing and experimenting with them and I’m really loving the results that I’ve been getting.
I have 3 cards and a tag to share today and I have two more cards to share later in the week when I get the other video made. I have really loved this stamp set!
Card 1:
I played with the very pretty Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder on this set of cards and tags. It really makes a perfect backdrop to your holiday scene cards. Did I tell you that I love making scene cards. I also love techniques.
I used the Deckle Circle dies on this one to create my little winter night scene. I fussy cut around the church and snowbanks to create the image. I colored it in with several Stampin’ Blends. I share all the details on my video which I have linked below.
The sentiments all come from the Greetings of the Season stamp set. I love that set because you can build your own sentiments, and it has a nice mixture of fonts.
Card 2:
I used the tag from the Greetings of the Season dies to create my focal point here. I did emboss it with the snowflake folder. I created my little scene with the houses and several accessory stamps that come in the stamp set. There is a stone fence, an evergreen tree, and a deciduous tree with no leaves. There is also a decorative banner and a falling snow stamp. I love when stamp sets include all the little extra filler stamps. It makes the set a really good value for your money!
Card 3:
I used the same supplies for this card, but with one of my favorite holiday color combos. I love the Crumb Cake with the Cherry Cobbler, Black, and White. It’s a personal favorite.
Again, I used the same tag and houses but this time, I stamped the falling snow in Balmy Blue.
I adore this Black and Very Vanilla Large Checked Ribbon. I bought it just to make cards in this color combo!
You can also see that I’ve added some Metallic Gems to each of these projects as well.
Tag:
I used the same tag and embossing folder as my base here, but I selected 2 other dies in this set to layer together for a nice dimensional tag. I love the little scene I created here. I added 3 of the evergreen tree stamps from the set and I love the look I got.
Video:
I share lots of coloring tips for the first card in this video and you can see all the steps to building the other projects as well.
