I decided to participate in a virtual retreat a couple months ago and it’s coming up this weekend.
I really love that the internet allows us to craft together and do virtual retreats to share and get new ideas. I love having the opportunity to get to know new crafty friends this way as well.
I received the box of supplies and it contained some fun “pillow” gifts. There is also a private Facebook Group and they have had a few challenges. I wanted to share the cards I made for the challenges with you here today.
I pulled out the Serene Love DSP and created this card with the sketch that was shared in the group. I love the Night of Navy and Basic White combination.
The die I used for the sentiment is one of the dies that coordinates with the Paper Pumpkin Kits. The sentiment is s sneak peek of a set that will be released in March.
This card uses the Wildflower Celebrations Suite. I made this one for a Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I selected a column that had birthday, 3 D element and patterned paper. I really like the way this came out. I’ve been adding a lot of ribbon and twine lately and I’m loving the look I get by doing that.
I’m also secretly hoping that Stampin’ Up! does not retire the Simply Said stamp set when this Annual Catalog retires at the end of April. I use that one for so many cards!!
