Stampin’ Up! Advent Calendar Day 1 Reveal

By | 12/01/2025

I’ve been looking at all the Advent Calendars that you see during the holiday season.  I’ve been contemplating purchasing one for myself for a couple years and I finally did it! I purchased the Stampin’ Up! 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar.

I actually purchased it in October (or whenever they first came out with it)!

It felt like such an extravagance.  It cost $99 which seems like a medium price tag for an adult Advent Calendar.  I was looking at the Woobles Crochet Advent Calendar which was $175 and the Spellbinders one, which was $130.  This seemed more reasonable.

Here is what I received back in October:

The Advent Calendar came with a double stamp set!  I was really excited when I saw the stamp set.  I love this imperfect, watercolor effect style of stamp sets.  I love being able to randomly stamp these images and come up with beautiful cards so effortlessly.  The sentiment stamp set included has sentiments that you will use all year long!  I love this!

It took every ounce of self-control to wait until today (December 1) to open door one on the Advent Calendar itself!

This is what the calendar looked like when I opened it up.  All different sizes of doors for the 12 days of goodies!

Spoiler: I reveal Day 1 below!!

The first day door revealed a set of dies to coordinate with the stamp set images!  I LOVE this.  Dies have become so expensive that it feels like a luxury when I purchase them.   There were 7 dies included in the set.  Some can be used with the stamp set, and some can be used without the stamp set.  I love when Stampin’ Up! does this in a die set.  It gives you so much more value for your money!

I’m estimating that the two stamp sets in the set would be valued around $18 each if they were sold separately.  The dies might sell for around $20.  So I’m estimating that I’ve already gotten $56 in value already!

Of course, I had to sit down and make something with the stamp set today.  I’ve been waiting for weeks to play with it and today was the day!

I made a single layer card using a little masking to stamp a colorful strip of the florals and I added a journaling pen border and one of the sentiments.  For sure I will need thank you cards after the holiday, so I used that fabulous sentiment!

I randomly stamped florals, leaves and so forth until I filled up the unmasked space.  Once you remove the masking tape, it feels like a work of art!  It’s one of my favorite ways to create a card.

I pulled out some scrap papers and went to work with a few of the dies in the kit.

I used some of the florals with the dies and several dies were used without any stamping.  I layered everything together to create a birthday card.  All from my scrap paper folder!

I made two of the clean and simple cards and one with the dies.  It was quite a fun morning!

You can still purchase the Advent Calendar from Stampin’ Up!  If you need other stamping supplies, you can go to my online shop at ShopWithKim.net!

Happy Crafting!
