By | 04/20/2026

This week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge is all about layers!

A perfectly layered card add so much texture and dimension to your design.

I love a layered card, but sometimes it feels torturous to get those layers evenly spaced!  But when you do…oh, wow!!

I’m trying to remember to use my embossing folders more.  I chose to make the top layer of the 3 panels an embossed layer.

I’m so happy I did that.  I think an embossed layer makes a card so elegant.  Especially when you keep the focal image fairly clean and simple.

I chose two colors and a neutral.  Petal Pink, Secret Sea, and white.  Simple and elegant!

The Secret Sea is a pretty unexpected twist for a floral instead of a green.  I think Old Olive would have been perfectly pretty here instead of the Secret Sea, but the dark color adds a lovely contrast to that light Petal Pink.

The embossing folder and stamps are all from the Paradise Garden Suite of products.  I added the Secret Sea Faux Linen Ribbon and the Secret Sea enamel dots.  The sentiment die is from the Lovely Arrangements die set.  I added the slots with one of my little mini hole punches.
