Stampin’ Up!s biggest sale of the year, Sale-A-Bration comes to an end on March 22 and I just had to make one more set of cards with each of the stamp sets that I got for FREE from the Sale-A-Bration sale! Today’s set is the Patterned Occasions Stamp Set.
I’ve used this card set several times since the beginning of the year. These stamps make fantastic 3×3″ cards when you just need a quick card to attach to a small gift. Each stamp includes an image and a sentiment. Stamp your image, add a bow and you’ve got a perfect little card that would cost a dollar or more in the store.
I created these cards in under 15 minutes. I admit, I had a little assembly line going. I made each card exactly like the last with the exception of the image. I have a great set of 5 cards that will make a handy little gift or a nice addition to my card stash.
I cut 3 sheets of Whisper White card stock in half (5-1/2 x 11, scored at 4-1/4″), scored and folded each. I cut my Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper (Free SAB item!) into 5 pieces of 2-1/2 x 5-1/2″ and attached each to the bottom of the card front with snail. I added a piece of Pool Party ribbon to the seam of each card using snail. (Another free SAB item!) Next I cut 5 squares of Midnight Muse and die cut them in my Big Shot (#113439) using my Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die (#120903) and attached them to the center of each card with snail.
I stamped each image in Midnight Muse on the remaining half piece of Whisper White and cut each with my Stampin’ Trimmer (#126889) in 2-3/4″ squares. These were also attached to the Midnight Muse scallop squares with snail. I cut 6 pieces of Tangerine Tango card stock 1/2 x 2-1/2″ long. Using my Full Heart Punch (#119883), I created the banner shape. I have a Two Minute Technique video tutorial on this! I attached that to the bottom of the stamped image and added a metal button (#129325).
These were very quick and easy to make. When you start with a great stamp set, you can get great cards fast!
