Add-On Card Ideas for the March My Paper Pumpkin Kit

By | 03/20/2025

This month’s My Paper Pumpkin Kit was so pretty!  I loved all the dimension on the cards.  It was made extra special because we got two stamp sets in the kit and Lost Lagoon was the Stampin’ Ink Spot color for the month!

These cards really embrace spring!!!  Once again, the kit has supplies to make 3 each of all 3 designs.  It also has coordinating envelops for the cards as well.

I had a couple of the sentiment label die cuts left over along with the Stampin’ Spot ink cube and the two stamp sets.

Many demonstrators like to create alternate projects to the My Paper Pumpkin Kits each month.  My problem is that I always love the projects in the kit and I always want to make those!

I don’t want to make alternative projects.  If you don’t love the projects in the kits, why would you subscribe?

Instead of suggesting alternate projects, I like to make additional cards using the left-over stamp sets in the kits.

I LOVED the 3 step bee stamp in this kit.  I also purchased the coordinating die set that was available called, Spring is in the Air.  It had a little bee die and a little honeycomb die.

I always pull out the Notecards and Envelopes.  The finished front of the card is 3-1/2 x 5″ and this is a perfect size to use for these little stamp sets.

I cut white card stock to 3 x 4-3/4″ and a piece of Daffodil Delight to 4-1/4 x 5″ to use on my card front.

I added linen thread and metallic sequins to each card as well.

For this card, I used the little honeycomb die to create a cut out on the front of my card.  I stamped the large honeycomb stamp in Crushed Curry of the Daffodil Delight panel that I cut.

I also stamped a couple of the those bees in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Crushed Curry, and Lost Lagoon.

The sentiment is from the MPP December Kit and that is stamped in the Memento.  I attached the two layers and wrapped it twice in Linen Thread before adhering to the card base.

I also added some black splatter!

For my second card, I stamped the large honeycomb in Crushed Curry on the white panel.  Then I stamped and fussy cut out the bees.  Those are added on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I finished this card off in the same way, except the white panel is popped up on dimensionals as well.

Card 3 is similar to the second card; except I stamped and fussy cut out one of the floral stamps and only 1 bee.  Both the bee and flower are on dimensionals, as is the white panel.

My last card has an extra layer.  I stamped the honeycomb twice, once on the white panel and once on a scrap of white.  I partially fussy cut the one I stamped onto the scrap white and layered on the stamped white panel.  I added two bees and a flower on dimensionals.  You can see the linen thread is added under the flower this time.  I also used a black panel behind the white this time instead of the Daffodil Delight.

I now have a very cute set of notecards to use this month!!
