This week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge took me a little time to figure out what supplies I wanted to use with it. In the end, I’m happy with my card!
There are so many pretty papers to choose from and I do love a layout with a shaped element that I can play with. Here is what I came up with:
This fabulous octagonal die with the delicate blooms compelled me to purchase the Memorable Blooms Bundle. I thought it was perfect for this card.
My color combination was inspired by my Color Coach tool. I made several of the Color Coach tools in June. One for me and then I made them for my downline team members. When someone signs up with me to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I like to send them useful and fun goodies!
I knew that I wanted to use this paper. This is a 6 x 6″ pack of patterned paper called Shades and Hues. I pulled out my Shy Shamrock Color Coach card and one of the combinations was for Misty Moonlight, Shy Shamrock, and then Shy Shamrock and Berry Burst.
In the end, I made my own color combination that was inadvertently inspired by the Color Coach: Misty Moonlight, Shy Shamrock, Flirty Flamingo.
I know that the connections my brain made there just doesn’t make sense! Once I pulled those 3 color cards out and put them together, I loved the combination.
I stamped the florals in Pebbled Path and colored them in with my Stampin’ Blends markers. After I got everything die cut, I layered it all together and made it work for the sketch!
My sentiment is from the Simply Said stamp set. I also used Very Vanilla for my card base and the top mat layer. You can also see a few of the FREE Sale-A-Bration Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins peeking out!
We would love to have you join us for the challenge. Just go to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog and link up your card!
