It’s time for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for this week!
Admittedly, this is another sketch that took me outside of my comfort zone! I’m not sure why. It’s pretty straight forward and I did immediately know which stamp set I wanted to use for this.
I had more trouble picking the DSP that I wanted to use. I have purchased way too much patterned paper in the last 6 months. I have declared a moratorium of any future DSP purchases…well, until the new Annual Catalog comes out!
I knew that square would look great with the Pick a Season stamp set! This is one of the Sale-A-Bration FREE stamp sets that I got for making a $60 purchase from Stampin’ Up!
There are a whole bunch of options for what you can stamp in the spaces on the tree in this stamp set. Of course, it’s easy to pick in February! Hearts it is!!
I used a sheet of the FREE Sale-A-Bration Toadstool Gardens paper for the DSP. This piece was perfect for my card! The sentiment is from the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Friendly Seagulls.
I added some Early Espresso and Old Olive DSP along with Early Espsresso, Real Red, Old Olive and Beige inks. A piece of Natural Baker’s Twine and some of the FREE Sale-A-Bration sequins finished off my card.
I like this sketch enough to turn it into a recipe card for my card template files!
