The new Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge is a great sketch for your favorite floral stamp and die set!
I thought this was a pretty sketch. As soon as I saw it, I thought about pulling out some of the Easter Time Mix and Match Ephemera pieces that I haven’t even opened yet! I also remembered the basket die from the Easter Basket stamp and die set that I have yet to play with!
I was originally thinking that the circle could be stenciled in place with a light ink color and I could do florals all around the top edge. As soon as the basket idea came to me, I decided I would ink blend a light Old Olive under the basket to give a grassy lawn feel to the focal image.
This card went together pretty quickly. I used a Balmy Blue card base and a piece of white card stock cut at 4 x 4-1/4″. I added some Old Olive ink with a blending brush and die cut the basket out of the old Botanic Textures patterned papers I have left over. I didn’t even bother to die cut out the handle portion since I knew I had a pretty ephemera die cut piece that would fill that space nicely.
I added some of the blue gingham ribbon to the edges of the white card stock. I also added the sentiment in Secret Sea from the Paradise Garden stamp set.
Finally, 3 Cloud Cove enamel dots finished off the card.
Make sure you check out the other cards created with this sketch on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge site.
