Beat the winter blues with Vivid Vases! This is a single stamp that is ideal for watercoloring. That means that you can color it in to fit your mood. My mood today needed some brightening up, so it was the Bright Color Family for me!
Get your Aqua Painters or Blender Pens out and get watercoloring!
I have to admit that I used to cheap out and use card stock instead of Watercolor paper. You just don’t get the same effect with card stock and you have to be very careful that you don’t use too much water and either warp the paper or end up with it crumbling up. With the Watercolor paper, you don’t have to worry about that so much. It’s also easier to get the blended look you’re shooting for.
The Watercolor Paper comes in packages of 5 sheets of 6 x 9″ papers for $4.95. I always thought that was very expensive compared to regular card stock. I had the opportunity to try some for free (my favorite price!) and I discovered that the paper makes a huge difference! I’ve also found that I can get about 6 cards out of one sheet of paper. That one package really goes a long way. It’s also so much easier to work with when using the Aqua Painters and Blender Pens. I get better results and I’m happier with my cards as well.
There are many different techniques for watercoloring. I do love using the Aqua Painters and Blender Pens that Stampin’ Up! carries. They just make it quick and simple.
