I love having a monthly craft kit subscription. I get the Paper Pumpkin Kit every month from Stampin’ Up!
I usually put on a movie and watch it while I put my kit together. This month’s kit had 3 different card designs and you have enough supplies to make 3 of each card. Coordinating envelopes are included in the kit.
The kit includes all the supplies you need to complete the kit except scissors. You get a clear block to hold the stamps in the first kit when you become a subscriber and then they don’t include the clear block in future kits.
I made the cards in the kit for the month. I almost always make the kit exactly as instructed. This month I modified one of the cards because I didn’t love the original design.
What I really love is that I always have the stamp set and ink pad cube left over to use for more cards with some of the supplies from my stash.
I pulled out a set of notecards and 3 ink pads in Granny Apple Green, Petunia Pop, and Crumb cake. I also pulled out a journaling pen, baker’s twine, my mini Cut & Emboss machine, my Purple Sequins and Fresh Freesia Ribbon from Sale-A-Bration, the Spring is in the Air die set that coordinate with the February Paper Pumpkin Kit, and the Grow with Love stamp and die bundle that I bought that coordinates with this kit!
Card 1: This was the simplest card I made. I just stamped on one of the note cards and kept it clean and simple.
Card 2: I added a border around the card front with my journaling pen.
Card 3: I turned the note card on its side and stamped my image and sentiment. I also stamped the texture stamp in Crumb Cake on the background. Then I added some baker’s twine and sequins.
For cards 4-6, I used the frame stamp and die from the Grow with Love stamp set that I purchased separately. I also used the Spring is in the Air dies that coordinate with the kit stamp set. I purchased this separately as well.
I used lots of Stampin’ Dimensionals from the kit to pop the framed images up to add dimension to the card.
For the final card, I used some Fresh Freesia Sale-A-Bration ribbon instead of twine.
