Welcome to video 2 of my technique files for card makers! I have a video walking you through 6 techniques and a printable for each technique that you will find the links for below!
I’m making a technique binder to replace the one I made years ago. Time for an update!
You can check out all the techniques on my video here:
Technique 4: Kissing
This is a great way to add some interesting pattern and texture to a big, bold, solid stamp. You basically ink up a solid stamp and then touch it to a background stamp with a pattern that you love. It will remove ink and leave you a lovely pattern when you then stamp it on your paper.
You can also ink the patterned stamp in a darker color so that when you touch them together, you get a darker pattern over your lighter background. Super fun!

Technique 5: Rock-n-Roll
This is a great way to add a second color to an inked image. Simply ink your image and then touch the edges to a darker ink pad and roll the stamp along the edge to add the extra color. It’s a nice way to add some color depth to your images.

Technique 6: Stamp Off (Second Generation Stamping)
Simply ink up your stamp and then stamp it two or three times until the ink is gone. This is a nice way to get more shades of a color from your ink pad!

Technique 7: In Motion Stamping
This is simply stamping off, but in a straight line and overlapping the images. I did my sample vertically, but you could do it horizontally for a vehicle in motion.

Technique 8: Drop Shadow (shadow stamping or ghosting)
You simply stamp your image in a light gray, beige, or craft white ink and then stamp it a second time on top of the first image, but a little up and to the left and with a darker color.

Technique 9: Faux Watercolor
For this one, you ink up half your image in one color and the other half in another color (do the lighter ink first), the spritz it with water and stamp it on your paper.
