I started a new project today! I’m creating a video series for cardmaking techniques and I’m creating a free printable for each technique. You will find 3 printables below for techniques using the Stampin’ Write Markers.
I purchased a set of 12 of these little photo albums from Amazon a couple of years ago. I pulled one out today to start a technique binder.
How many times have you seen a new technique, tried it, then forgot about it?
Too many if you are anything like me!
I decorated my little binder with some of the ephemera bits from the ephemera packets that I have so been enjoying since they showed up in the new catalog. I used a pretty piece of DSP from the Dandy Designs DSP pack that I got off the clearance rack a few weeks ago. 48 sheets of 12 x 12″ papers perfect for summer crafting. I’m using it on so many projects!
I started with 3 techniques I use my Stampin’ Write Markers for. These are great for coloring in images, but there are lots of other things you can do with them.
Technique 1: Direct-to-Stamp Coloring
It’s nice to be able to add multiple colors to a stamp and then stamp it all at once. It’s hard to do with an ink pad, but you can do it easily with the Stampin’ Write Markers. You can use them to directly ink up your stamps. It works with the cling red rubber stamps and the photopolymer ones.
So simple to do!

Technique 2: Thumping
This technique is great for adding some variations of color to a stamp by tapping the marker on a colored image.
This technique works great on bold image solid stamps or outline stamps like I’ve used here.

Technique 3: Clear Block Stamping
This is one of my favorite techniques, especially for fall stamping. I seem to use it the most during that season! You add ink to the clear block, spritz it with water and stamp it on your paper. It’s a great background for a stamped image on top of it.
My sample uses two colors. You could use more or even only one color. It gives you a background that is a beautiful watercolor technique!
