Every now and then, I like to create a clean and simple (CAS) card just to show myself I can. I LOVE CAS cards and I aspire to create all CAS cards.
It often never works that way because I like all the things!!
I love techniques and embellishments and layers way too much to confine myself to CAS cards all the time.
I have a second video to share for the 7 Kids Craft Store October Release. I shared two cards a couple of weeks ago with the Santa’s Helper stamp set and now I’m using the 3 little fairy angel sets to create 3 different cards, all in the same style.
Aren’t these little fairy angels so cute?
I created all of them in the same way. They all have a card base of 4-1/4 x 11″ that is scored and folded at 5-1/2″. I created a card top that is cut at 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ and created a subtle background on each. The fairy panel was cut around each of the angels so that they looked centered in each rectangle. I didn’t measure those, I just eyeballed them. I popped the angel panel up on some Sizzix foam and centered it toward the top of the card. I added the sentiment heat embossed in white on black cardstock.
The Gift of Peace angel has a die cut background with stars on one side. This is an older cover plate from Gina Marie Designs and I don’t even know the name of it! I tend to use it for baby cards and Christmas cards!
For The Gift of Love angel, I just scored two lines with my bone folder and scoreboard at 1-1/2 and 1-3/4″ from the top of the card front panel. I always like this for an elegant look.
The Gift of Joy fairy has a background die cut with the Cross Stitch Canvas cover die from Altenew. It’s subtle, but I like it!!
