I had a lot of fun creating today’s card! I used a Martial Arts Mouse digital image from Three Room Studio to create a card for the Saturday Challenge.
I am the host of this week’s challenge and I selected the theme of adding leaves to your card design. The design team members who are participating in the challenge made some truly beautiful cards today, so be sure to check them out with the links below!
When Sandy Boone shared this digital image that she created with the team a couple of weeks ago, I knew I was going to create a card with it. It’s so cute!!
I decided to create him with a fall theme. To make sure that I incorporated the leaves to fit this week’s theme, I have him doing his workout under a tree!
I created the tree with my Copics and made sure to add lots of fall colored leaves around him. I added a rolling hillside, a sky, and some grass up close.
I think he’s doing a workout just before trying to sneak into my house for the season. October is mouse in the basement season for rural New York! Especially if you live in a very old house like I do! My house is small and has a lot of charm, but rodents and crickets do love my basement!
Copic Combinations:
Tree: E 49, 47, 44, 43
Leaves: YR 18, YR 23, YG 63, YR 27, R 24
Grass: YG 67, 63, 61

Hamster: E39, 37, 35, 33, 31 RV 21

The sentiment comes from the Simple Sentiments clear stamp set. Isn’t this perfect for this image? The set has sentiments for all occasions and it has some for quirky occasions as well!
