Hot trends in stamping: Gold and Glitz!
Who doesn’t love a new trend? Okay…maybe not all trends are good things, but this one is! I love all of the Gold and Glitz that we have available for our paper crafting projects.
I finally got some of the Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape from the Occasions catalog! WOW! I do WONDER why they called it Watercolor Wonder. It’s all about gold!
Isn’t it fabulous? (The Retro Fresh Washi tape is also amazing!)
If you have yet to try playing with Washi tape, you will love it for many reasons:
- You can tear it…you don’t have to worry about straight lines and edges with this. It’s supposed to be torn and not quite straignt!
- It’s inexpensive…you get 3 rolls for $4.95 and it goes a long way. I have yet to use up a roll of Washi tape and I’ve used it on everything from scrapbook pages to cards to 3D projects.
- It glams up a card or project in a flash! Talk about a quick and easy card! Wow…slap on some tape and a sentiment and call it done!
I know…gold overload, but I love it!
The stamped dots are from the Happy Watercolor stamp set and they are stamped on Crumb Cake. (I was challenged by my friend Holly K. to use gold, whisper white and crumb cake for a card!) The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
Here are the products that I used in this project:

Here is a fun little detail…this is the gold foil sheet embossed using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and the Big Shot. Doesn’t it look like a metal trinket?!
Sometimes it’s the littlest details that make me the happiest!
