I was very excited to share with you that I was invited to join the Design Team at Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez. I fell in love with her adorable images as soon as I saw them and I was honored and humbled to be invited to join her team.
Today I have two cards that I created with her Girl Biking digital stamp. I had a lot of fun creating with this!
How cute is this little girl? I selected this stamp because I have always loved riding my bike. Riding my bike still makes me happy and it really gets your heart pumping.
If you have never used a digital image before, it is very easy to do. I usually resize my images in photoshop and then insert them into a Word document and print them out on card stock in my little ink jet printer. I didn’t need to resize these images. If you don’t have a program to resize images, you can just do it in Word or whatever program you use on your computer to create documents.
Once you print it out on cardstock or watercolor paper, it is just like a stamped image!
I added the pebble path and the grass to ground the image. That is super easy to do and it’s one of my favorite parts of using digital images. The path is just dots in 4 or 5 different shades of the E colors. The grass is just flicks of 3 different shades of green. I made it wider in the front because she is coming toward us, and narrow in the back because that it farther away.
The little streamers coming out of the bike handles are covered with the Gelly Roll Silver Sparkle Pen.
Here is the second card I have to share:
You can see that I added a different background to this one. I also added little polka dots to her dress with a white gel pen. I also added a little mouth with my journaling pen.
This is a background technique that I learned in an online Copic coloring class a couple of months ago. I shared the little gnome that I had created during that class and it had a cobblestone background with mountains behind it. I left the mountains out and recreated the rest of the background. I thought it was perfect for this little girl on her bike!
I will confess that I created this card first with a background I was comfortable creating. I felt a little guilty reusing a background and decided to create another card that had grounding scene that was all me. That is the first card I share with you and I really loved how it turned out.
Can you believe that I’m finally brave enough to share my Copic creations? I LOVE starting with a plain sheet of paper and then ending with an entire scene. It so relaxes me and I so enjoy creating them.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my latest project!
Kim what a great job! Your coloring is perfect and I just love the backgrounds you created. This gives me hope to continue practicing my coloring with the artist markers. I have a long way to go. You however my friend have mastered this technique.
Thank you so much, Anita! I really am feeling comfortable with my results and ready to share how to videos! It has taken lots of practice and lots of classes! Be well!
