Pop-Up Card Fun!

By | 03/09/2025

I attended a virtual retreat last weekend and I had a blast.  I’m slowly making my way through the projects that we created and making my own version of the sketches and designs.

Today, I have 3 Pop-Up cards to share with you.  The original one was created by Melissa Faust and it’s actually a fairly easy design to make.  I will share a video later in the week with my own Pop-Up card design so you can see how to make them.

I used the Sea Turtles stamp set, the Otterly Adorable DSP, and the Peekaboo Forest Stamp set to create my cards today.  You can see the outside of the cards here.  They are made with a card base topped with DSP or an embossed panel.  There is a belly band around each that holds the card closed and is used as the base of the card front decorations.

Here you can see the belly bands.  That is one of the places where all the fun is happening!

The Sea Turtles were a lot of fun to play with.  This is a Reversible stamp set.  You can stamp the detail in one color and flip the stamp to add the colorful background for the images. This is a simple and fun technique.

The Peekaboo Forest set was a lot of fun to play with.  I made a cute top to the tree only to have to trim it down so it would fit in the card when I folded it closed.  Live and learn!

For the Otterly Adorable set, I used the pretty designer series paper to create my scene.  I did  a little stamping and die cutting with the coordinating stamp and die set to fill out my scene.  I love this DSP!!!

You can find all the supplies in my online store from Stampin’ Up! at ShopWithKim.net!

I will have a video for this fun fold pop-up card on Friday!! Stay tuned!

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you find time to be creative today!
