I like these little stamp sets because the price point is amazing. Most of them are under $5! Plus, when they have sales or when I’m trying to get free shipping and I just need a little item to fulfill my order, these are perfect.
I love using them to practice with new techniques or just to make a quick card that I need for a specific occasion right NOW!
I added some fabulous patterned paper from My Favorite Things. I got an entire set of black and white stripes in a 6 x 6″ paper stack from MFT. 12 papers were just stripes and 12 were the diagonal stripes. I love this paper. It works with almost every card.
I’ve added a strip of thin gold washi tape for a metallic touch. My image is stamped in Altenew’s Lagoon, Rouge and Crimson Crisp Dye Inks. I’ve added a wash of Volcano Lake. My sentiment is stamped in permanent black ink and I’ve added a drop shadow with my Altenew WG03 Artist Marker. The clear drops are the 6 mm drops from Studio Katia.
I did not give this enough time to dry since I wanted to get my blog post done and you can see that the paper is a bit warped. Had I allowed it to dry completely and attached it to the foam tape, you would not see a warp to it. I also could have put my large clear block on it for an hour or so to flatten it out.
I’m too impatient! I was ready to move on to my next card! You know how that is!!
