My watercoloring class homework for day 2 will be posting before the day 1 homework…what can I say?! I couldn’t resist doing the day 2 assignments first!
I was expecting that we would be stamping things and learning to watercolor them. Instead I discovered that we are sketching things and watercoloring them. Huh! Not what I was expecting, but darn I’m having fun trying the stuff.
Here are my assignments for today:
- A quirky birdOkay…so my balloons aren’t shaped well, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be! I wasn’t quite sure what the effect of the watercolor mixing for the bird I was supposed to be achieving, so I just added colors and moved on.
- Card 2 is 4 cute critters. I did not make this one into a card yet, so it is a little warped from the water. In case you can’t tell: dog, fox, cat, tiger…just sayin’! Considering that I did that free hand…not terrible. My fox needs a little work, but all in all I’m happy with my first attempt at these and I will try some critters of my own selection next.
- This is supposed to be a bear…it’s more like an egg shaped bear. I did not quite master the shape. He’s cute anyway.4. This was an extra challenge card of a super quirky cat…For my first attempt at sketching and watercoloring my own sketches…I’m happy with these.
I actually can’t wait until tomorrows lesson! I still have 3 cards to make from lesson 1, but these critters were to cute to resist making today!
I’m taking this class via Online Card Classes. They have a huge selection of classes and this is the one that is live this week.
I’ve taken a couple of classes through this site and they are full of information and samples.
Thank you for stopping by today. Happy crafting! As you can see, I’m embracing the imperfections!
