I’ve had a busy and eventful 6 or 7 week period. You know what it’s like. Those days where your To Do list is longer than they day is.
I finally felt like I caught up today! Tomorrow, I can work on getting ahead again.
Phew!
I decided that I deserved some flowers, so I pulled up my favorite floral image from Kinda Cute by Patricia and printed it out to create a card.
It felt so good to sit and color just for the joy of it today. I had an appointment with the furnace guy to get the yearly service done. It was one of those…sometime between 12 and 4 PM appointments. He was here a little over an hour and that was the perfect amount of time for me to get this done.
I pulled out some of my favorite color combinations and just got to work!
Once I completed my coloring, I cut the image out with my Brother Scan-n-Cut. I created a background on a piece of bright blue cardstock from my stash. I added a subtle texture to the background with a stencil from Maker Forte and Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink.
I think the background made the entire card more interesting! The sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp cut apart sentiment sheet. I really love having a bunch of the premade sentiments around. It makes such quick work of adding a sentiment and they come out perfect every time!
I popped both the floral piece and the sentiment up on foam tape to give my card lots of dimension.
This one just feels so bright and happy! I love it!
