The Spooky Sweet Halloween suite of products and the Sweet Halloween Scrapbook Workshop Kit and the coordinating stamps are hard to put down once you start playing with them.

I used the Berry Burst card stock for this layout.  To tone it down a little, I chose a second patterned paper with a white background and a subtle pattern.  I used the candy patterned paper with the gray/black background as my featured paper for these layouts.  I added 1/4″ strips of Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight.  Those were the single sided patterned papers exclusive to the scrapbook workshop kit. I used the rest of that Granny Apple Green sheet to serve as mats behind my photos on both pages.

I had a strip of the Pumpkin Pie card stock that I used up on this along with a strip of the patterned paper in the same color with the torn paper detail.

I added some lines for journaling with the Just a Note journaling stamp.  I love that I now have such a useful stamp in my stash!

I also stamped the sparkle background filler stamp from the Spooky Halloween set along the bottom to ground my critters.  The raven stamp is from the Sweet Halloween stamp set.  The Boo Crew is also a stamp from the Sweet Halloween set and it is a great title for a Halloween layout!  The little stamps in these two sets allow you to really add some fun details to your layouts that coordinate with the papers, stickers, and die cuts.  I think stamping on your scrapbook layouts adds dimension to your page and it’s a detail I always love.

I love adding those stamped details to my layouts.  It helps me feel like I’m using all the supplies I’m purchasing in more ways and really getting a bang for my buck!

I thought some of the stickers and dies that came in the kit had too much white around them, so I did a lot of trimming and fussy cutting to give them smaller white borders.  I was happy that I did that. Not only did it look better to me, they also fit together on the layout better in the spaces I wanted to add them.

I finished off my page with the white sprinkle stars that came with the Spook Sweet suite of products.

My inspiration for these two layouts actually came from PageMap Sketches.  I took two sketches many years apart and create a double page layout that I really like.  One thing I would choose to do differently next time is to flip the layout of the second page so the DSPs are on the outer edges of both papers.  Otherwise, I love what I created here and think these two layouts work great together.

By the way, the PageMap sketches are free.  There is also an archive full of card sketches as well.  They have printable PDF’s for each month.  I have them all printed and in a binder from as far back as 2006!  I love having this tool for inspiration when I need it.
