The 2025 Stampin’ Up! Advent Calendar Day 10 reveal! What more can there be?
This is a bag of true shaker elements. I know that I said I don’t love shaker cards, but I did see a cute idea on the Stampin’ Up! Official Instagram page. They created a banner set to hang that included shaker elements. That I can get on board with, so I cased their idea with my own holiday twist today!
I created the hanging banners with some scraps of Christmas paper left from last year. I also created some frames with the postage stamp dies. I used the two rectangular dies together to create a Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce frame. I also die cut some acetate and white card stock with the largest rectangle. I glued the acetate piece to the back of the frame and added thin foam strips to the back of the acetate/frame piece. I also stamped on the white postage stamp piece using the A Little Cheer stamp set.
I piled some shaker elements onto the stamped piece which I attached to the white banner pieces. I also added some extra holes in the banner pieces to string the twine through so I can hang everything.
I flipped those frame pieces over on top of the piled shaker pieces and attached the frame to the banner.
I did have to remove these bow embellishments from the shaker elements. They are quite thick and were not going to fit under only one strip of foam. The will make beautiful embellishments on another project!
How pretty are those bows? They have a beautiful iridescent effect!
I attached my festive banner set to my stamp storage cases for a decorative touch to my crafty space!
